As a way of preparing them to manage client files, the Central Region Office of the National Economic Empowerment Fund Limited (NEEF) conducted orientation for its new credit and valuation officers who have joined their offices at the Bridge View Hotel in Lilongwe.
Speaking at the meeting, the regional manager for the central region, Esmie Chisepeya advised all officers present to work as a team and to be diligent in their work. She continued by highlighting the need for officers working with files to avoid making assumptions and instead solicit the help of other officers in order to make progress.

“In reality, the NEEF office for the central region holds that working as a team is one of the finest methods to advance and help our clients in the most efficient ways. As a result, you must assess your own abilities and work together with other team members”, Chisepeya said
Dereck Kumwenda, a credit analyst who also attended the meeting, described it as intensive and covering a variety of topics, including product awareness, file documentation, field and desk appraisals, routine and ad hoc reports, performance reports, valuation reports, and security perfection.

As some of these officers will be assigned to various branches throughout the central region, Kumwenda has also urged all officers to take the meeting seriously. As credit and valuation officers, he continued, they must cooperate and function as a team.
