The National Economic Empowerment Fund Limited (NEEF) has praised Kanengo branch in Lilongwe for outshining the other branches in Central Region in the ongoing loan recovery exercise.

Speaking at a monthly performance review meeting for Central Region that was held on 20th January 2023 at Bridgeview Hotel in Lilongwe, NEEF Regional Manager for Central, Esmie Chisepeya revealed that Kanengo branch outshined other branches in the region having collected MK113.5 million in the month of December 2022 followed by Kasungu with 102. 6 million.

Chisepeya said NEEF is so pleased with the milestone that Kanengo has registered and applauded Area Supervisor for the Branch Atupele Singini and her team for the job well done.

“Customer service is the key to a better Malawi, let us treat our customers with respect during recoveries exercise. This will help us maintain a good relationship with our customers and achieve better service delivery, “said Chisepeya in her remarks.

Elsewhere, Ntchisi branch has registered tremendous improvement in its collections and the FINES loan portfolio’s collections stand at 100% while the NEEF generic loans’ collections stand at 68% up from 31%.

NEEF countrywide has disbursed MK52 Billion to more than 132, 000 and the subsequent growth of the loans portfolio in Kanengo, Kasungu, and Lilongwe old town branch, according to Chisepeya, has prompted the Fund to open new branches in each of these branches in order to improve service delivery and monitoring of the loans.
